  1. I don’t even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post was good. I do not know who you are but definitely you are going to a famous blogger if you are not already 😉 Cheers!

  2. Can I simply say what a reduction to seek out someone who truly is aware of what theyre talking about on the internet. You undoubtedly know how one can deliver an issue to light and make it important. Extra individuals must read this and perceive this aspect of the story. I cant consider youre not more widespread since you undoubtedly have the gift.

  3. Thank you so much for you podcast! It was very interesting and you did an amazing job explaining the various aspects. I’ve been studying personality types for a while now and you are definitely right when you say that it can be used for many things! As an INFJ and the daughter of an ENFJ, I thought it was very interesting how Stephen realized during the podcast his ‘real’ identity as an ENFJ. And I must say that the things you said definitely fit an ENFJ (I know because my mum has said A LOT of those same things and explained a lot of the same mechanisms). Wouldn’t it be interesting be collect different perspectives from the different personality types – I think that could help people to easier understand which type they belong to? Also, it can help you to better understand other people – I mean one thing is the theory of it, but it’s a whole different thing to speak to a different type. For example ‘E’ vs. ‘I’ – they have great difficulty understanding each other! I could tell by your explanation of the ‘I’ that you are both ‘E’.

Anyway, thank you so much for your podcast. It’s great to hear other people’s thoughts on a subject like this!

    • Cecilie,

Thank you very much for your input. We appreciate it greatly and we are extremely happy to hear you enjoyed the podcast. It is funny that you say we both are obvious Extroverts because of our description of of people who have an Introvert preference. I could not agree with that statement more. After all, it is extremely hard to correctly imagine having a preference for the inner world of thoughts, ideas and memories when we have had a preference for the outer world of activities for our entire lives.

As your psyche type indicates (INFJ), you are the counselor type. Your ability to connect ideas and find deeper meanings that underlay actions of other people makes you a great person to give advice. As an idealist, your needs are harmony, uniqueness and identity whereas insincerity and disharmony can make your blood boil. As a rationalist, I have had to learn about these things because I have a girlfriend who is an ENFP. Rationalists and Idealists clearly do not have the same views on everything. As a rationalist, my needs are achievement, mastery and competence whereas I detest incompetence and being told what to think. As a generalization, there are no needs or dislikes in common between these two temperaments.

Having a different world view than someone can lead to a lot of differences in opinion. In your comment you said that it is one thing to understand personalities and it is an altogether different world when actually trying to communicate with different personalities from your own. The key that I have found is that you cannot change a person’s temperament let alone their personality. Different personalities learn differently and perceive the world differently and that is what has made them who they are today. When we can put our personas away and show people the real individual underneath, this is where we can learn from other people and they can learn from us. The key to seeing a person’s true colors is by figuring out how to disable the mask they put on for society every day.

Thanks again for listening and we hope that you check out our future material.
